President Trump warned Iran the U.S. will “rescue protesters in the nation if the regime further escalates its response to peaceful demonstrations.” President Trump further added “We are locked and loaded.”
Months ago President Trump wanted a Noble Peace prize for all the “peace” he brought since taking office. Now it appears with Venezuela, Iran and others he is more about war than peace. Is this really what we want as a nation? Haven’t we seen enough wars to last ten lifetimes already? I know I have.
It is these subtle changes going unseen by many. Drive for expansion of the U.S. in both land and power since President Trump took office. Something we as a nation have not done nor have we wanted in any time I can remember. Yet news is out there how this has all changed even though it I feel it is not covered in mainstream news outlets like it once was.
Or how people in the military have been glamorized and made heroes. Nothing today about the lives lost fighting in foreign countries, wars that are not ours to fight. Nothing about those who died for the life, meaning and commonality we all have in the United States. A contract call the Constitution and Bill of Rights, paid for and signed in blood by many past military in wars requiring we defend our way of life. Nothing about what it is really like having to fight these wars; kill another human who is really doing nothing more than you are. Fighting for reasons you don’t understand simply because someone in power said that is what you have to do. Or waking up realizing the life you just took had the same dream you have; going home, unharmed and back to your family. Forced to kill and fight by governments not able to find a way to solve their differences outside of killing their citizens.
None of what we see today should be being done with lives of our loved ones. Our founding fathers warned us this could happen. Government spending more money fighting wars that are not our wars forgetting the purpose of the United States military is to simply defend the United States. It was never meant to be the police forcing other nations to be what we are.
It is not for me to say anyone or any nation is living life wrong; treating people like they shouldn’t be treated. If those people don’t like life and government it is up to them to change their life and government. If we aid anyone in these situations it should be only after they have exhausted all efforts and only if the majority of those people living in that country want the change others are trying to make.
I can only say what works for my life, what I prefer and what my nation is all about. Because there was day a majority believed that way. Today I’m not so sure it is a majority. We aided too many who want to make the United States what they want in their country. They want to change us and not assimilate to what our nation is founded on.
A warning for 2026, more war is coming. It may start in some other country, but I fear we will soon see another country bring the war to U.S. soil. You can argue that we have not had war on U.S. soil since the civil war; but reality is the further away you get from an event the closer you get to history repeating itself. I’m not warning of a civil war, but of another country full out invading; bringing the fight to us rather than waiting for us to come to them.
Yes, we need to discuss these things and I mean discuss. Each writing is not to make others think like me. It is meant to share what I think and others to share their thoughts. It is through shared thoughts and experiences we built common ground and solid solutions bring our nation back to the very roots of what we were founded on. Freedom to be you, without judgement. Free to do what you want, where you want to do it without society judging you for your choices. After all the majority of things you do don’t impact me directly or even indirectly when it comes to the biggest things dividing us today.
