The year 2026 will bring more changes, both within society and our government.

Typically I’m a realist who lives life thinking from a perspective others seem unwilling to dive into. Being a realist does not mean you cannot be optimistic or pessimistic; it means you approach things from reality and not from self. I know for many this is very difficult to grasp, however, reality is always we live in this nation together. We all have common goals to achieve in life. We share common interests no matter nationality, how you were raised or what you do or do not have in life. This is what we must focus on in 2026, not what we do or do not have; not our nationality or color of our skin and surely not on what one has you do not. All is obtainable when it is common.

Common includes having a house, job, decent car and even an education if you so choose. Each of these takes work on the part of the individual and is fully independent of everything we today define our differences on. It is not because I am a white caucasian I have three degrees. I have them because I worked for them. This meant working a minimum of 3/4 time hours while attending school. Nothing was given to me because of being white. It was hard and especially hard on my children. They did do without wants while I paid for my education, they did do without me around as much as I worked and attended school; but in the end they and I achieved more. I did not envy cousins who had an easier time getting their degrees because of their family being better off financially than I was. That had nothing to do with my education or desire to improve myself through education. It meant I had to work harder and that is always, always going to be unfair in life for many reasons beyond what anyone or any government can solve.

Today being New Year’s Eve, this post is about the number 250. I started this site intentionally on this day and will move forward being more who I am and discussing things from a different perspective. But for 250, this is the average number of years any nation in power has lasted before collapsing. The United States reaches this number this year.

Already we see deterioration of the United States in government and society. As a collective whole people have become overly focused on their differences rather than commonality of all of us. This focus shift creates our division and inability to talk rationally. Conversation focus today is more on people becoming what you want than people discussing a common way forward. Government consistently forces opposition between citizens by elected officials constant bashing of those who do not agree with them. Elected officials than focus on nationality and so called oppression creating the massive divide we see today.

Technology plays a major role in accentuating these differences. As more technology comes such as artificial intelligence; it will drive deeper wedges between us, creating more problems. Artificial Intelligence is an oxymoron from the perspective that we as humans have been unable to come to a common definition of what intelligence is and yet we claim to be definitive of artificial intelligence definition. Further we have absolutely no concept of long term effects of using a machine to guide out thinking. How long before we all start thinking exactly the same?

Reality is no one has definitive answers. What they have are answers for a given situation with known possible solutions. Yet, even that is not definitive until time proves the solution worked. If it doe not we simply make another choice with new information we have from the results of the first choice. Again the second choice will not be definitive until it stands the test of time.

How should we move forward. Go back in history and learn we have but one contract in life for government and society. Those pieces of paper are our constitution and bill of rights. Many paid in blood to protect that contract and today people forget both those who died and what those documents truly mean. Until you find that meaning there is no stopping the fall of the United States.
